Walking in and around Henfield
Shermanbury
Circular
Start at the lay-by car park on the Brighton Road just before The Bull Inn.
Cross the road opposite the pub, across a couple of fields and then follow
the course of the Adur. Cross the river at the Sakeham foot bridge, through
woodland to Shermanbury before crossing the river again back to your starting
point. Approx: 1hour 40mins
Meeting the Adur
Start at the car park in Upper Station Road adjacent to the Railway Tavern,
by walking up the North Side of the Railway line to the River Adur. When
reaching the River Adur head back in a southerly direction. Joining West
End Lane and following the road or fields back into Henfield. Approx:
1hour 10mins
Henfield Common to Woodmancote Place
Start by walking along the North Side of the Common to Swains Farm Shop,
then onto Woodmancote Place and then back on the South side of the Common
(Whites Farm Shop). Walking along the Lydds and back into Henfield. Approx:
1hour 30mins
