The George is a beautiful 16th century Tudor and Victorian Coaching Inn centrally located in Henfield High Street. Retaining a wealth of historic features including oak beams, traditional wood panelling and inglenook fireplaces, the George has a sumptuously, refreshing interior creating a relaxed and informal atmosphere.
The bar areas are comfortable and inviting and the restaurant fresh and bright, tastefully decorated in cool lime and gold. As well as traditional fayre, Head Chef Marco Renzulli, originally from the Athenum Hotel, Park Lane, brings an Italian twist to the menu.
The hotel has 8 well appointed en-suite guest rooms with plans for a further 9 in the new year.
The hotel is co-owned by Terrie Dye, who has 20 years working in the hotel and hospitality industry. A full range of events take place throughout the year including live bands and themed nights.
