Greening Henfield Campaign

Public Meeting

Free Church Hall
Wednesday 20th May 2009, 7pm

Come & make a difference! The Parish Council, Community Partnership and a group of residents are setting up a voluntary campaign for Henfield. Our aim is to take the hugely successful campaign started in Petersfield and introduce it to Henfield. To date, the campaign has spread to 100 other towns and villages across Southern England and beyond where it has been welcomed enthusiastically and has begun to make measurable differences.

Put simply, the campaign aims to encourage and support local people and businesses to take easy and straightforward steps to reduce energy consumption and waste  and in doing so make financial savings while benefiting the environment.

To kick off the campaign we are holding a public meeting where the Greening Campaign will be explained in detail. Those attending will be invited to choose a number of simple actions they consider most relevant to Henfield and which will enable people to make a difference to our environment today  and long into the future. Please accept this letter as your personal invitation. The meeting is open to everyone who lives or works in our village and so all businesses, societies, churches and schools  as well as elected bodies  are also invited to send a representative.
