The Weald Community Church Celebrate 2 years in the village
- 40's Style
Last Sunday the Weald Community Church Henfield held a party to celebrate two years in the village.
About 90 people came to a 1940's style street party, in the village hall, tieing in with the Remembrance theme. All were invited to join us, either dressing in a '40's style or red, white and blue, for 40's fun & games, music and food, such as hopscotch and hoopla.
Henfield museum supplied some genuine artefacts to add to the ambience and John, a war veteran from Brighton, heard about the event on the radio and enthusiastically joined in judging the childrens costumes.
